Former NBA Player Delonte West Arrested for Resisting Arrest

Delomnte West was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly resisting arrest after banging on the doors of a police department while intoxicated in Boynton Beach FL.
This is unfortunate news for the 38 year old, who went to a rehab center just last year. Mav’s owner Mark Cuban personally help West get into Rehab and was dedicated to his success there. It seemed to have gone well as West reportedly got a job at that facility helping other patients.
Originally reported by WPTV:
The report states that West, 38, was screaming profanities while holding an open can of Icehouse beer and an open bottle of Mango Vodka.
Officers said when he began to walk away while still screaming, they ordered him to stop.
When he refused, they then commanded him to place the open containers of alcohol on the sidewalk.

Love appears to have remembered the incident, as he replied shortly after on Instagram that “it was the biggest bruise of his life”, likely said in good fun.
Thompson grew up in Portland, and was a big Trail Blazers fan when he was young.

Ben Simmons Saga Continues – Gets a 1 Game Suspension on the New Season’s Opening Day

After all the off season drama, it looks like the actual season isn’t off to a stable start for Simmons and the 76ers, as Doc Rivers confirms he’s suspended the star player for their season opener, slated for Wednesday night against the Pelicans.
There is little reporting on what actually occurred, but it sounds like it was during a defensive drill where Simmons didn’t take part, angering Doc.
“He was a distraction today, I didn’t think he wanted to do what everybody else was doing. It was early, it wasn’t a big deal. I just told him, he should leave then, and we went on with practice.” Doc Rivers said of the incident.
So make of this what you will, but it’s certainly not a good omen for the 76ers and they open up the 21-22 season.
